An innovative machine solution meeting complex production demands
A manufacturer in the medical technology industry was looking for an efficient solution to produce large volumes of high-tech copper coils for body scanners. After evaluating different options, the company partnered with Water Jet Sweden to develop a unique machine system tailored to meet the complex requirements of the application.
The system features six CNC-controlled cutting tools, including two five-axis cutting heads, enabling efficient simultaneous cutting of complex copper geometries while maintaining the required shapes and tight tolerances. The system is powered by three synchronized ultra-high-pressure pumps and supplied with abrasive through parallel, high-capacity delivery systems.
The zone-divided worktable features two independent workstations, enabling continuous production. While one station is being loaded or unloaded, the other can remain in operation, maximizing machine utilization and meeting demanding production volumes.
The result is a complete, high-performance waterjet solution designed for uninterrupted, automated production of complex high-tech components.
