FiveX Machine System – Shaping 3D Components Across Multiple Work Planes
The FiveX machine system is a highly advanced 5-axis waterjet solution designed for shaping complex 3D components across multiple work planes. It enables high-precision abrasive waterjet cutting in three-dimensional space, combining the flexibility of 5-axis technology with the inherent advantages of cold waterjet cutting.
The technology enables precise cutting of challenging materials such as hardened steel, titanium, Kevlar and carbon fiber. Typical applications include trimming molded composite components to their final shape, as well as precision cutting of complex free-form geometries. FiveX systems are particularly well suited to demanding applications in the defense, space, aerospace and power industries. Utilizing the advantages of waterjet technology for the finishing and trimming of fabricated structures, pressed components, molded composite parts and other complex 3D components.
Although all FiveX systems are based on the same proven platform, each machine is individually engineered to meet specific customer requirements. This approach allows the system to be configured for a wide range of component sizes, geometries, materials and production processes.
Configured for flexibility and productivity
This particular FiveX system has been specially designed to provide excellent accessibility, operational flexibility and efficient production. By activating the second cutting head, the machine can quickly be configured for multiple-head cutting, increasing productivity for suitable applications.
The system includes a comprehensive tool setup featuring a height sensor and drilling unit, providing additional flexibility for demanding composite and multi-material applications. Two electronically controlled abrasive feeders ensure a consistent and reliable abrasive supply, helping to maintain stable cutting performance throughout the process.
